need to remove clear finish on an antique brass naval clock.Is there any solvents that will do it?
Finish remover/stripper from Home Depot works great but be sure to do it in the open using rubber gloves. Please be aware that stripping the original finish may lower the value of the clock.

After John Kerry refused to do so, he got his clock cleaned in the 2004 election. If Obama refuses to do so, the neocon attack machine will do the same thing to him.
And McCain represents a wealth of closeted skeletons that could be used to question everything from his patriotism, his family values, to his experience, just like the McCain camp is doing to Obama.
So, calling opponents racists and liars and spinning the facts to suit them isn’t considered "dirty"?
Kerry did in fact fight quite dirty; his problem was that he could not refute the charges of the Swiftboat Veterans. To this day he hasn’t been able to refute a single charge.
As for Obama’s patriotism, the fact that he’s whining to the McCain camp about it only shows what a wimp Obama truly is. Whining is for little girls, not would-be presidents.
