He is now 72 and i am going to have to ask him to retire, but he is so proud he just wants to go on working. The problem is i need the house for the new people. I mean come next week i will have two Polish maids working for me that cost even less than he does so i need him out of his cottage. I thought perhaps a nice little carriage clock or maybe some gift vouchers, thoughts please?
He’s a butler, generally speaking, spank his butt.

I am buying my parents and my H2B’s parents a carriage clock as a gift at our wedding. I am majorly struggling with what to get engraved on it. They are contributing financially but not paying for all of it so I want to say thanks for coming (his will be travelling some distance to be there but not helping with the organising), thanks for helping and thanks for the money. Any ideas how I can get that in a nice sentence or two?
Thanks a lot
Thank you for supporting us with/through….. our wedding, the beginning of our new lives together, this happy time/occasion, etc.
carriage clocks can be extremely valuable, but you’ll get the best information from an antiques appraiser who specializes in such things. Try checking online for appraisers in your area.
A video guide of me playing “Nancy Drew: Secret of the Old Clock”. In this section, I make it into the carriage house by solving the lock puzzle. I explore a bit, and solve another clock puzzle, as well as a domino puzzle. I start a mirror puzzle. The video gets cut short at the end.

Very carefully!
No to be serious, if you are not sure, do not clean them beyond a little dusting.
If they are antiques they are likely to be worth more in their present condition than cleaned wrong.
Success.
